On Wednesday February 8th, 2017 Brothers from Latonia Lodge No. 746 visited with the Brothers of Western Hills Cheviot Lodge No. 140 of Monfort Heights in the western part of Cincinnati. Western Hills Cheviot Lodge No. 140 is made up of Brothers from Cheviot Lodge No. 140, Western Hills Lodge No. 762 and Colerain Lodge No. 759 which have merged together over the last decade or so. The new lodge has become one of the strongest and most active lodges in the city and the Brothers from Latonia Lodge No. 746 were honored to be invited and welcomed to their monthly stated meeting.
Worshipful Bro. Chuck Yocom PM and Bro. Brad Drew PM were welcomed with the usual Masonic hospitality and invited to enjoy a dinner of chili cheese conies with over 30 Brothers from Western Hills Cheviot Lodge No. 140 and other surrounding Masonic lodges. After dinner, Junior Past Master Steve Behrle gave a tour of the building and lodge hall and provided some great history about the lodge.
At 7:30pm the lodge was called to order in the Entered Apprentice Degree and then to the Fellow Craft Degree to allow a Brother to complete his Fellow Craft Proficiency. Afterwards, the lodge was called back to work on the Entered Apprentice Degree to allow an Entered Apprentice Brother to join in on the business and workings of the lodge. The lodge was closed in form on the Entered Apprentice Degree at 8:50pm and the Brothers from Latonia Lodge No. 746 were thanked and welcomed back to Western Hills Cheviot Lodge No. 140 as often as they could make it.
Worshipful Bro. Yocom and Bro. Drew would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the Brothers of Western Hills Cheviot Lodge No. 140 for their hospitality and friendship!
